Top Three Fun Things For Kids To Do in Singapore

Singapore is a mix of different food and cultures but it also has awesome things to do!!
This is my list of the Top Ten Things To Do In Singapore For Kids!!

1 Kart Right Speedway is my favorite activity to do in Singapore. You drive a go cart (with a motor) around the track. My favorite bit of the track is the straight bit of track, where you can go the fastest and all of the other corners test how fast you can go around them without being over taken!! To drive your own go cart you have to be over 1 meter and 20 centimeters tall. Otherwise you can take a double go cart (with 2 seats)  and drive around with someone who is tall enough. The rental carts can reach speeds up to 50 k/m!!

Tips
You have to come in covered foot wear
Best to go during school holidays unless you want to wait in lines
You CAN"T book for arrive and drive
Drivers Under 18 years of age must have their indemnity form signed by a parent or legal guardian before being allowed out on the track
To find out more about what you can and can't do go to http://www.kartright.com/arrive-drive.php

Open:10am-10pm weekdays 9am-11pm weekends
Cost: Under 18 $22 for 10 minutes

2 Universal Studios is my 2nd favorite thing to do in Singapore. Universal Studios is a EPIC day out. The Battlestar Galactica HUMAN and CYLON are the two main rides in Universal Studios. They are temporally closed because of technical faults. Even though the two main rides are closed Universal Studios still has a lot to offer. My favorite ride is Mummy. Some rides I recommend are:  The New York Hurricane and the Mummy . It is a simulation of a level 5 hurricane hitting New York. You are in a shipyard and watching the drama unfold. The Mummy ride is based on the movie The Mummy. Universals Studios Home page click herehttp://www.rwsentosa.com/language/en-US/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore

Tips
Make sure you book your tickets in advance otherwise if the park is sold out go down to the tour operators in the carpark who usually have tickets. Can book online at https://reservations.rwsentosa.com/Itinerary/TPTicketTypeSelection.aspx?type=2&sn=FirstPhaseSkins&sf=main&mt=%40black%40en%40attractions%40attractions.swf&pc=attractions%40landing&pi=0&pai=23&lc=en-US&ati=75&aid=1&vd=634232160000000000

3 Shooting clay pigeons is my third favorite thing to do in Singapore. You don't actually shoot pigeons more like a skeet ( For more info on what a skeet is click there ->http://www.nssa-nsca.com/). You have to be 12 years old and if its your first visit you have to bring your passport. You fire a shot gun or pistol. It can hurt a bit though. In total IT IS REALLY FUN!!!!!

Yoyogi Japanese Restaurant

Yoyogi  is quite a popular restaurant in Singapore down near Robertson Quay. My advise to kids is: don't go there.  Yoyogi is very small. It only had 8 other people in the restaurant. I was dragged along to lunch with my Mum and Aunty and some other old ladies. I had a Executive Bento Box which was $38. It had tempura, eel, rice sushi, miso soup and sashimi. The eel was really good but it was the first time I have had eel so I don't know what is bad eel either. The sushi had a perfect amount of wasabi on it so it wasn't too spicy. The miso soup was bland and tasted weird. The sashimi was good though. There is no where to run around so it's really boring!! Also, there used to be a Ladies Bento Box which was really good value, but now it's not on the menu:(

Starbucks

Yesterday while my MUM and AUNT were shopping they left me at star-bucks with $50. Naturally I wasted $20 on 1 Chocolate Chunk Monster Cookie, 1 Grande size Caramel Hot Chocolate and 1 Grande size Hot Chocolate. I have to say the Chocolate Chunk Monster Cookie was sooo good. It had about 1000 chocolate chips in it!!! You also could dip it in the drink!!!!The Grande size Caramel Hot Chocolate with whip cream on top and Caramel sauce drizzled on top was really really yummy!!!! It's so quick for such a big drink!! Unless ur a total sweet tooth save your money and not get the whipped cream on top it's way to sweet. The Hot Chocolate is really chocolaty and is better than the Caramel Hot Chocolate.

          Chocolate Chip Monster Cookie $3.90

Kido Meter

Hi every one I am Nick. I am 12 years old and writing a restaurant review in Singapore.
I am making a blog of good Singapore Restaurants. I am using the Kido Meter as a way to rate restaurants and food stalls on how good they are for kids.
Thanks for reading and please comment and subscribe.
Thanks Nick

2 Best Hawker FOOD

The good Singapore Restaurants and best Hawker meals in Singapore that I have discovered are:

1. Chicken Curry Laksa at Golden Shoe Car park.
The chicken curry laksa at golden shoe car park is my favorite hawker dish in Singapore. The stall that sells it usually has a queue out side the shop with people waiting for food. The chicken curry laksa is a hot coconuty broth soup with noodles nestled in it, chicken chunks, some potatoes, fried tofu, a hard boiled egg and vegetables. When you eat it there are a explosion of different flavors!! You can taste the hot spicy chili but it isn't too hot because the coconut takes most of the spice out of the chili but it's still very very hot!! You also taste the potato, the noodles add that extra flavor and the vegetables add a bit of crunch! You sit down at one of the hawker tables. You might want to buy a drink so you should bring about $10 for everything (Drink+ meal) and you will still have change!!

Where: Golden Shoe Carpark
Price: $4.50 for a big size portion
Kido meter: 2/5 no where to run around but the food is good!

2. Nasi Lemak at Adam Road Food Court
Selera Rasa is a Nasi Lemak food stall at Adam Road Food Court. They have seven dishes that include simple nasi lemak to the Royal Rumble that has just about everything. The Nasi Lemak is delicious because it has a range of flavors. The little fried fish are pretty weird but give the rice an all new crunchy taste and the rice is really yummy. The chicken is fried which in a kid's view is always good! Near the store there is an awesome juice stall. I highly recommend the apple and carrot juice!

Where:Adam Road Food Court
 Price: $2-$5
Tip: Get there early. They also have call and collect service but allow 35-40min to make and pack.

Yan Ting Restaurant Review

Light spongy, a creamy coconut taste – these were my first thoughts on Yan Ting’s delicious Thousand Layer Cake. Yan Ting restaurant is a must for Dim Sum lovers in Singapore. This is a good Singapore Restaurant.

Getting in the top 25 restaurants for 2009 in Singapore and voted by Singapore’s Best Restaurant Guide for 2009 just proves how good it is. As soon as you walk in you see a collection of jade pots and little dining booths. My visit to Yan Ting restaurant was very pleasant. My favourite dish was the Crispy Shrimp Dumpling. The reason it stood out to me was it was in an extremely light batter and when you bit into it there was an explosion of flavors.

Crispy Shrimp dumplings (Right) Crystal Water Chesnutt Cake
The three-meat dish was also very tasty. The meat (duck, pork, and chicken) was very lean, juicy and non-fatty which you rarely find in other restaurants. I would definitely go back for those two dishes alone. The Roast Pork was the only dish I was disappointed with because it was cold, if they warmed it up it would be much nicer. The weirdest dish that came was the Crystal Water Chestnut Cake. It was a chunk of jelly with a chestnut in the middle but tasted surprisingly nice.

The service was extremely good. All the staff had an amazingly wide knowledge of the dishes and guided us (my family) to what we should have. The menu had a very big variety of Dim Sum with something for every one.
